There's 4 easy steps to buying a home:

1.) 
Obtain Financing:
  Evaluating and determining the right kind of financing package for you.  This is a FREE process to be pre approved for financing and is the first step you take.  This will save you time by knowing what price range to look at homes within.  You'll also be in a better negotiating position when you do find the right home.  If you need help with lenders, I can reccommend a few reputable lenders in our area.
2.) 
Search for Your Home:  We can set up appintments to look at homes at your convenience.  You can also search online in the comfort of your own home, you can sign up on my website at
http://www.joyberquist.com  under search MLS ( Firelands MLS), I can then set up a client portal web page for you to be notified by email of any new matches on your search.  This way you can be the first to know when a new listing comes on the market.
3.) 
Viewing Homes:
  This is the fun part of finding your new home!  We can look at homes which you've selected from your searches. 
4.) 
Making An Offer
:  Once we find the perfect home, we can write an offer and I'll negotiate the purchase with the seller.  Once your offer is accepted you are required to make a deposit of at least 1% of the purchase price.  This money then is held in escrow acccount and will be put towards the purchase price on the day of closing.  Inspections are then scheduled.  I can recomment an excellent Home Inspector if you need. 
5.) 
Transfer Ownership:  There are many details involved in getting the sale closed, my role is to see that all these details are handled professionally on your behalf, and make you a new homeowner!
